Updated Rules & Regulations: November 2025

We have upated the WLYH Rules and Regulations effective November 1, 2025. The changes were approved by the Board of Directors on October 9, 2025 and approved by the WA Airstream Club Board of Trustees on October 21, 2025.

The following changes were made to rule 4.9 (additions / changes highlighted):

4.9 Guests

4.9.1. Guest Restrictions
Each guest may stay up to 30 cumulative nights per calendar year. Guests may not stay overnight in a dwelling on a lessee’s secondary lot (see Second Lease Restrictions). Lessees are responsible for the conduct of their guests in the WLYH at all times.

4.9.2. Airstream Occupation
A lessee may invite a guest to occupy the lessee’s Airstream RV parked on the lessee’s primary or secondary lot for a maximum of 30 days per calendar year.

4.9.3. Guest RV Parking
Guests may stay in their RVs on a lessee’s primary or secondary lot with permission of the lessee. Use of non-Airstream RVs by guests is limited to two (2) continuous weeks during a single stay and not more than four (4) weeks during a calendar year. Lessees must be in residence in the WLYH for the duration of a guest’s stay.

4.9.4. Lessee Absence
In the absence of the lessee(s) from the WLYH, guests may stay in a home or in an Airstream RV on the lessee’s lot only if the lessee has provided written permission to the RAC Chairperson (via email or written notification left at the Gatehouse) before their absence begins.

4.9.5. Long-Term Guests
Any person wishing to reside in a lessee’s home for more than the maximum of 30 days in any given calendar year is considered a long-term guest. Lessees may have at most one (1) long-term guest at any time. Long-term guests may not reside in an RV on a lessee’s primary or secondary lot or in a dwelling on a lessee’s secondary lot. Long-term guests must be approved by the WLYH Board before the end of the 30 day guest limit. Lessees can obtain a long-term guest application form from the Gatehouse. The application requires submission of a background check for all guests over the age of 18. Addition of a long-term guest must not cause the dwelling to exceed the limits of the number of bedrooms or the septic system (see Dwelling Limits). Those persons who are not approved will be notified that they cannot stay in the home or on the lot beyond the 30 day limit. Guests whose approvals are pending at the end of the 30 day limit cannot continue to stay in the home or on the lot until they are approved. Violation of these terms will be considered trespass. If approved, long-term guests must depart on or before the end date specified in their application. If a long-term guest would like to extend their stay, they must submit a new application and have it approved before their scheduled departure date.

4.9.6. Underage Guests
Anyone under the age of 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age whenever they are in the common areas (anything other than the leased lots) of the WLYH.

The new rules can be found in the member portal, Governing Documents.
